Ask About Our At-Home Sleep Study

Dr. Doneskey is happy to announce that home sleep testing (HST) is now being offered in his office. The WatchPAT device technology not only records true sleep time but also stages sleep (light/deep/REM). It is also the simplest home sleep test for patients to use as it does not require an abdominal or nasal monitor. The results of the study determine if future investigation is needed (full PSG). For more information please give our office a call any time.

Hear What Our Patients Are Saying

My TMJ caused pain and popping in my jaw as well as temporal and stress headaches that lasted the entire day. As a result, I was taking many over-the-counter pain killers to cope. Since using the oral appliance, the headaches are gone and I can move my mouth and jaw without pain.

Forrest W.

Dr. Doneskey is excellent. I always look forward to my appointments because he knows how to listen to my concerns. He is an incredible problem solver. So often, doctors don’t seem to have enough time for me or don’t pay attention to my symptoms or take my pain seriously. Dr. Doneskey always has time for me and is always ready to listen and offers solutions that work for me.

Natasha G.

I found Dr. Doneskey very professional, easy to talk to, and easy to work with. The whole office is that way and its nice dealing with people like that. After using Dr. Doneskey’s oral appliance, SilentPartner™, I would not go back to the CPAP.

What is obstructive sleep apnea?

Obstructive sleep apnea, also known as OSA, is a common sleep disorder that prompts patients to stop breathing repeatedly throughout the night. This occurs when your mouth and throat muscles relax, causing a blockage in the airway. Signs of sleep apnea include loud snoring, irritability, morning headaches, daytime fatigue, and more.

If left untreated, sleep apnea can lead to serious health consequences, such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and Alzheimer’s disease. It’s important to seek professional treatment as soon as possible to help manage symptoms and prevent further health problems.

How is sleep apnea diagnosed?

Sleep disorders, specifically sleep apnea, are diagnosed by a test called a polysomnography, commonly known as a sleep study. This is used to measure the quality of your brain activity, oxygen levels, heart rate, and breathing throughout the night. We offer an at-home sleep study so that you may complete this in the comfort of your own home.

Once you’ve been properly diagnosed, Dr. Doneskey will discuss your treatment options and help determine the most effective solution for your condition.

How do you treat sleep apnea?

At the Sleep Apnea and Facial Pain Center, we specialize in treating snoring, sleep apnea, and associated TMJ disorders through comprehensive treatments. Dr. Doneskey has developed an FDA-cleared, effective oral sleep appliance to effectively manage these conditions.

The SilentPartner™ is a custom-made oral device that offers patients with greater convenience and comfort than ever before. Unlike CPAP therapy, t’s innovative design is centered on healthy jaw function, patient comfort, and full adjustability.

Will insurance cover an oral appliance?

Most insurance companies will cover all or a portion of the cost for an oral appliance, but some many not. We suggest contacting your provider prior to your consultation to get a better understanding of your insurance coverage. If you’d like, a member of our staff would be happy to contact them for you to ensure you receive the maximum benefits possible.
